Nice department store quality bike, that arrived double boxed and well packaged. If you have never worked on a bike before, then I highly recommend taking the unopened box to your local bike shop and have them assemble it. If you have some bike specific tools and a little experience with things like quell stems, handlebars, pedals, truing wheels, adjusting derailleurs, adjusting V-brakes, adjusting the cockpit, then you can assemble this bike.

You will need to install the stem, reposition the bars, shifters and brakes. Install the seatpost (the seat is factory installed to the post), install the pedals (the left pedal - non drive side - is reverse thread). Install the quick release axle into the front wheel, and then installing the wheel itself.

That takes care of the install, but I had quadruple the time of the installation in the tuneup and adjustment of the bike. The brakes and derailleurs needed some adjustment, nothing major, but if you don't know what a... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bike for the price, September 11, 2015

Great bike for the price. I live in a very mountainous neighborhood and pull my 3 year old in a trailer and everything works great. I didn't need anything super fancy, but wanted a bike with more than 7 gears, and this bike does the trick! If you need a economical bike, consider this one

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE MY BIKE!!!!, August 30, 2015
This review is from: Schwinn Women's High Timber Mountain Bike, 16-Inch/Small (Sports)
It took me longer than expected to assemble it myself, but for someone who has never done this, not bad at all. I went for a test ride with my partner (in case it all fell apart). I was not confident of my ability to follow the not very clear instructions. To my surprise, I am still in one piece and so is my bike. I LOVE the bike. Easy to ride, comfortably changed of gears, exactly as described.
