I never changed the original mountain bike tires that came with my Schwinn until now. I installed these with a pair of Slime Smart Tubes. If you mostly ride on the street these tires are quieter and have very little resistance while still providing safety when hitting gravel or dirt.

I put these tires on my mountain bike that I use to get to school everyday because my old ones were becoming old and cracking. These are perfect for someone like me who uses their bike mainly on roads or hard packed dirt trails. These have very nice grip on the road as well as on the dirt. Overall a great all around tire.

Switched my mountain bike tires to this comfort bike tire so my kid can bike to school. Paired them with the Sunlite Bicycle Tubes (would stay away from the Slimes tubes if possible). Very smooth and comfortable ride.

Decided to go with Schwinn over the Kendall since it seemed to be a better value - Kendall seemed to wear out fast. The tires were a little bit stiff when first comes out of the box - I put it under the sun for 30 minutes and that seemed to soften it up a little bit. Install was relatively easy - it is a 3 in a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being easiest). Once installed, the tubes and tires fit nicely around the rim w/o any apparent distortions.

Definitely recommend this tires for those looking to upgrade their mountain bike tires to comfort tires.

Update 9/26/2015:

Love these tires so much I bought two more for my younger son's bike. These tires works great along with the Sunlite Standard Presta Valve Tubes, 26 x 1.90. Read a... Read more

  1. I know this isn't a forum, but I am needing help on my new Kevlar tires and how to install them myself. I can't believe I have never changed a bike tire my whole life. It is not wanting to sit in the groove on the opposing side of the rim. Side one - great. Side 2 looks to big. Any help is appreciated. First time tire Gal.
