I shopped around for a bit before I got this and what I see A LOT is people asking about the assembly. I've taken apart old bikes to install aftermarket handlebars, pedals, gear cassettes and sifters. So this took about 30 minutes for me. It did come with instructions but I did not need them. All you have to do is attach the brake cable to the handlebar attachment, install handlebar, put on front tire, adjust brakes, put on seat and pedals. I think that was it. The box gave a list of needed tools so I broke out the tool box, although in the package was a wrench for pedals and a few hex and 1 torque wrench. I love the simplicity of putting bikes together (NOW), but there was a time when it frustrated the living crap out of me. If you're concerned about the assembly do not worry. Just remember to breathe and take your time. This hit the spot and was exactly what I wanted. Upgraded a few parts here and there and it rides wonderful. Assembly was very simple. The only con was I received it with the front wheel slightly bent. I was able to adjust the brakes to the point where it's not an issue however. There was no visible damage on the shipping box. I'm excited to get off work each day to go hit the trails for a couple of hours.
