We believe we purchased the best bike for our money. **One tip as you may see a note in other posts concerning the inability to turn and pedal at the same time without feet hitting the front tire. If this is the case then you have the front support and breaks positioned backwards!** Our 9 yr old son is thrilled and out-biking his buddies with $330 TREKs. It's a decent collection of bike parts, and when properly assembled, makes for a pretty decent kids' mountain bike. I ordered this one for my son, and it's a bit of a mess. The brakes needed extensive adjustment not to drag, both front and rear. Both derailleurs are a bit off, too. Neither of these is a terribly difficult adjustment, and anyone mechanically inclined (perhaps with a bit of youtube searching if you haven't worked on bikes much) could probably make these adjustments. More problematic is that the wheels are badly out of true, which is a bit more challenging to correct. After a good deal of tweaking and adjustment, this can be made into a perfectly serviceable kids' bike. But mine needed a lot more than just basic assembly.
